My Background

Hi, I'm Penny, and I am a human resources strategist who is passionate about helping leaders and leverage human capital strategies so their companies can thrive. 

I have 20+ years of experience in human resources leadership, capacity building, and consulting and have proven success in building progressive human resources operations while ensuring compliance with federal and state labor laws, government regulations, and guidelines.

I am a proven leader and change agent who served as Chief Human Resources Officer for an elite private college and a large State of Connecticut agency. I use my experience to ensure that the Aurora Group’s clients better understand their strengths, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop unique solutions that result in teams that feel valued and empowered to fully contribute. 

I have a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Hartford and an undergraduate degree in Management from the University of Connecticut. I teach graduate students in the Master of Public Policy Program at the University of Connecticut. I believe in giving back and serve on the board of The West Indian Foundation, an organization dedicated to empowering members of the West Indian community.

I live in Greater Hartford Connecticut and enjoy traveling and experiencing the world with my family.
